Should I Hire A Personal Assistant ??

  • SHOULD I HIRE A PERSONAL ASSESTANET

This issue continuously arcus with most established entrepreneurial, whether to hire an assistant or not. As an entrepreneurial, you are considered to do everything yourself at first to cut costs by working hard.

However; the is a point where work & personal life collides, which then leaves you juggling multiple task and exhausted.

A few of the core factors in deciding whether it’s time to get an assistant are a lot but the main three you should conceder are this:  Timing, Expense and Purpose.

I’d would like to go into depth for the reason why this three core factors are important to help you figure out whether now is the time to hire a Personal Assistant and why they will add value to your business and personal life.

    Timing

A good indicator that you need to hire a Personal assistant comes in different kind off feelings. You may time to time be stressed, overwhelmed and sometimes feel like you haven’t accomplished anything some days. Before you hire someone, assess whether the issue is needing of help or you just need to focus. As most problems happen when you are so busy making sales and marketing, well the lack of focus is the problem itself.

If this sounds like you, make a list of all the methods you’re using. Then write a problem solution to see how many clients you can generated and eliminate any channels that had been there for six months and haven’t resulted in a close of deal. If removing all this extra work leads you to getting more done and serving your clients better, then getting a PA is for you due to you leaving small obligations and matters into their hands.

    EXPENSE

So now you are just established as a company but still have limited funds, it can seem impossible to think about hiring an assistant. You may be overlooking a valuable resource such as interns. Interns are most likely going to be less cost effetely than PA’s due to them been fresh out of local high school or university, and  welling to go that extra mile for likely to gain experience instead of a salary.

With that been said; you can’t afford to spend lots of time with extra activities, with your busy schedule by training interns and delegating orders to a person who has never undertook such a task and is the first time to experience a very eventful job. Your business will never grow unless you hire the right delegates for the job, by you opting out on whether to hire a PA so you can avoid expense will cost you more in growth opportunities and all so well be time consuming in the long run.

    PURPOSE

When you finally do decision to get help, the hurdle you will face next is to figure out what kind of an assistant are you looking for. The best personal assistant should do one if not all of the following magic three as I would call them –

    1. Save you time
    2. Earn you money
    3. Expand your customer service.

If you can’t explain how a personal assistant will contribute to at least one of these outcomes, then it’s either it is the wrong time to hire a personal assistant or you just haven’t figured out what you need them to do.

I recommend you writing down a “bucket list” and no, not a list off what you would love to do before you die. Rather, write down the activities you feel that put a strain on day to day operation such as: Revenue & Admin generating, Essential Contact listing, extra weekly activities, Activities I’m not skilled at and Cost/income. Are some off the things you need to be looking at by writing down each week how much time and cost have you spent doing each task. Once you understand what you need from a personal assistant, you can create a job description that will help you find the right person.
